Eve – Wm. Paul Young
I was anxious to get started on this book, as I have made it a habit to read “The Shack” pretty much once a year. I was aware this book would be different. Not just in the story line, but in the style it was written, and how I reacted, and interacted, with it.

Yes; I do interact with the stories I read. In the manner of when I do not have said book in my hands, reading, I still think about it throughout the day. The characters, the plot, what I could be missing, and what I do not understand, or have just not figured out yet.
It did take me a couple chapters to really get into the story, and understand what exactly it was I was reading about. I knew from the book jacket that Lilly was a girl who washed up on a beach on an island between worlds. Lilly being from Earth, and the place where she landed, never really named.
There are many characters in this story, and they each seem to have a very important role within the story. While this is a retelling of creation and how we, man, all came to be, you will see that while it holds true to what you will read in Genesis (the first book of the Old Testament in the Bible), it gives you another insight into how it really all could have happened.
As you read it, you can see it. You may be a bit confused, but yet you understand it. It all makes sense, in the grand scheme of things. Lilly is a Watcher, and although it takes her quite some time to accept the fact that maybe she really isn’t useless, you can certainly sympathize with her and feel the true pain of her mind, body, and soul.

True Story!
He Was More Than a Storybook Character…
…he was our nemesis, the man we loved-to-hate, the man we wished ill upon, and the man we eventually grew to love for the sacrifices he made.

Sacrifices that took us 7 books and many years to fully comprehend.
But beyond that, he was a great actor. Someone who truly took pride in the work he did, and the character’s he portrayed.
Yes, he did other work before, and after, Harry Potter. Besides his debut acting role in the first Die Hard movie, I think I enjoyed him as the Blue Caterpillar in “Alice in Wonderland” (2010), and he is reprising the voice in the upcoming “Alice Through the Looking Glass” (2016).

… I would go into all the details of where I have been and what I have been doing for the last 2 months, but it’s really rather boring and does not make a good story!

It’s Official; I Have a Book Addiction. Or Is It a Tattoo Addiction?
Okay; it is both.
Yesterday was my 1st of 2 appointments for my latest tattoo. Okay; my 10th tattoo. But is is actually my first tattoo (of more to come) that will be based on the stories I have cherished for as long as I have been reading. Which is a really, really long time.
I wanted to start with Narnia, and I knew it had to be Mr. Tumnus and the lamppost. I also wanted to include my favorite Bible verse (Psalm 119:105), so this was the perfect tattoo to start with.

It had to be old-school; an image that was in the original book. A little searching had many great ideas. Luckily my long-time tattoo artist is fabulous at drawing what I ask for, so I literally had no idea what this tattoo was going to look like when I walked in yesterday for my appointment. I had absolutely no concerns about how it was going to look.

I got the outline and shading done yesterday, and have an appointment in 3 weeks to get the light coloring added in. These are the best pictures I could get, being the only person home and the tattoo reaching from the top of my shoulder to my elbow.
Do you have any tattoos that show your love of books?
