… well, hoping my oldest runs to the library for me while she is spending the weekend with me. I wonder if there is a limit on how many books can be checked out? I’ve been continuing the Nancy Drew series and I can literally read 4 or 5 of those a day if that is all I was reading. But I do have other things to read as well π
As far as I know my surgery went well. The surgeon didn’t come and see me at all yesterday after I got back to my room. I have been here all alone as well so I don’t even know how long the surgery took. They had to put a metal plate and screws in as I broke 3 different ankle bones. I definitely have a long and painful road ahead of me.
My oldest daughter will be picking me up today and spending the weekend with me, so I’m a happy girl about that.
Trying to not stress about the fact that I have no idea what I am going to do Monday when she is back home and my 13 year old has school all morning and afternoon.
Bless your heart, I so feel for you having to heal through that. Just take your time trying to get around.
Make sure she puts everything within arms’ reach for you. π
She is truly a blessing and I am lucky she is able to help me out. I didn’t even ask or suggest it π
Aw, those are the best times, when you donβt need to ask.
Ouch! My commiserations. If you are a library member you can download ebooks via OverDrive onto any device. Great for emergency reading π
Thanks for letting me know; I’ll definitely look into it!
Ouch is right. That sounds incredibly painful. I hope the mend is quick and pain-free. Take care!
Reading will get you through!
It definitely will!
Hope the pain is not overwhelming!
I have had subpar care in this hospital and will be glad when I can leave today! Thanks for the kind words!
YAY! Getting to go home will greatly speed up your recovery–just don’t overdo!
I plan on doing nothing but healing! This pain is unbelievable and I need to get well asap!!!
Just don’t rush things…If the doc says NO WEIGHT ON FOOT, that means stay down! I had extensive reconstructive surgery on my foot in 2014, and because My Better Half did not know how to work the dishwasher or the microwave, I got up on crutches two weeks before the doctor said I could and things didn’t heal right. I now need surgery again (not going to do it!) thanks to my rushing and being in a hurry. Learn from my mistakes!
ππ I will remain bed ridden for as long as necessary! I have a couple people who can help me as needed!
Excellent!
