What a fun book! It took me a little bit to get into it, but once I did I could not stop reading! It was easy to read, with great characters and a story line that keeps the pages turning.
Samantha Sweet breaks into houses for a living. Legally, of course. Well; most of the time. She works for the USDA cleaning out houses that have been foreclosed on. She also sells baked goods out of her house while she saves enough money to open her own bakery.
The first house we find her at has a dying old woman who gives her an empty box, and tells her it is important that she take it. The woman dies, which brings the police, and Beau, into Sam’s life. The second house finds a grave in the backyard, and that is where the adventure really begins.
I don’t want to reveal any spoilers, but this is a book that I highly recommend! I was very pleased to see there are several in this series, and will be starting on book 2 shortly.
I found book one on Amazon for free in eBook format, and you can find it here: Sweet Masterpiece Book on Amazon
If you’ve read any of this series I would love to hear what you thought about it!
I have been so busy with everything (life), that I did not realize I have not done a give-away since Christmas.
So, on Tuesday, I will be posting some stuff, everything book, and just sign your name and grab it up. I am not going to make you follow me, share and like, etc. Just sign into rafflecopter.com, and I am giving away some amazing book bags, bracelets, and key chains.
While strolling through the blog posts for authors, I came across Michael Cargill’s post, where he announced that his new book was available, free, and he would appreciate a review in return. Just my thing, right? And, it takes place during WWII, and I am a huge history buff, so double bonus.
Triple bonus? This story was amazing! The writing was brilliant, the characters were well developed, and the scenery was written so vividly that I could see everything as if I was watching it happen.
It is a short story, and I wished it went on for twice as many chapters. I definitely do not want to give away any spoilers, but you get to meet James, and David, and Piper. Along with their Captain who is pretty useless, and a cast of other characters that round out this story. It is graphic, but how could something about WWII not be? So just be prepared if you are overly-squeamish. There were parts of this story where I was literally holding my breath while I was reading it, waiting to see what was going to happen next.
Do you want to give this story a read? You definitely should! You can find the links for it on Michael’s WordPress page, here: https://michaelcargill.wordpress.com/2015/01/24/we-go-again-my-new-book-is-now-available-free-for-reviewers-and-subscribers/
I would also like to ask that anyone who gets the free copy to be so kind as to leave a review for Michael on Amazon and Goodreads. If you pick up this story, I would love to hear what you thought about it!
I will announce the winner tomorrow as well as contact via email! Click here and follow the instructions to get entered:

As it is officially “Black Friday”, the only store I have any desire to go to is Barnes and Noble, and bless their hearts, they do not open until 8am. There is nothing specific I have in mind that I absolutely have to get today, so I get to leisurely wander the store and see what catches my eye. I will definitely be on the look-out for anything I think my fellow readers and writers may like!
Three more days of Thanksgiving break for me, and then it is back to work for 3 weeks before Christmas break. I can honestly say I am ready to go back to work; sitting home has never been my thing, no matter how many wonderful books I have lined up to read!
