Tuesday’s Thought For The Day!
The only thing worse than not reading a book in the last ninety days is not reading a book in the last ninety days and thinking it does not matter. ~Jim Rohn

Friday Fun Facts!
Rick Riordan (Richard Russell Riordan Jr.)
Born: June 5, 1964
Wrote: Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, The Heroes of Olympus series, The Kane Chronicles, and Rick worked on The 39 Clues series
Awards: Edgar Award, Hampshire Book Award, Anthony Award, Shamus Award
With two of his books being made into movies, (Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief; Percy Jackson and the Sea of monsters), Rick has gained quite a following of readers. I enjoy these books as much as my teenagers. They are fun to read, you don’t see blood, sex, or gore, and they are still exciting! Well, some blood and gore, but nothing I am concerned about my girls reading.
Quotes: If my life is going to mean anything, I have to live it myself.
People are more difficult to work with than machines. And when you break a person, he can’t be fixed.
All serious daring starts from within. (I love this one!)
If you would like to visit his website, you can find it here: http://rickriordan.com/home.aspx

Friday Fun Facts!
John Green is an author who seems to be on a roll with his Best Selling novels. Currently the author of 5 books, and hopefully more to come! He has also written short stories and several anthropologies. “The Fault in Our Stars” seems to be dominating the movie theaters right now. Although I do enjoy movies based off books (Harry Potter, anyone?) I always prefer the books.
John grew up in Orlando, Florida,
John seems to be full of great quotes as well! Some of my favorites?
I don’t know a perfect person, I only know flawed people who are still worth loving.
I just want to do something that matters. Or be something that matters. I just want to matter.
You are so busy being you that you have no idea how utterly unprecedented you are.
What is your favorite John Green book? Did you see “The Fault in Our Stars” yet?
Another Abraham Lincoln Book I Need to Read! (Oooops)

Boy did I goof. I know that Sarah Bush was Abe’s Step-Mother, and Nancy Hank was his birth mother. Hence, my post below is completely incorrect; although Abe did love his mother very much (and his step-mother) and I think I am going to read this book regardless. It is fairly small so although it smells like old books tend to, it should be a quick read. I apologize for my inaccurate information!
This book is about Mr. Lincoln and the relationship he had with his Step-Mother, whom he grew to love very dearly. He had a difficult time when his Mother passed away.
Tuesday’s Thought For The Day!
So True!

I have 4 girls who absolutely love to read. I do not know of too many things that could make me happier than this fact!
